YOU'LL NEVER SAY GOOD BYE

I own watery eyes, blurring my vision
with loud thoughts screaming in my mind
hold my hands see me off
teary miles have I come
weary knees and humbled hart
twenty seven years in the battle field
though I live this race
I must confess not being the best
so many hugs in my bag
and many smile sin my heart
yet time and tide chases me
these marks I've got to show
because the real plight I know
slowly as I approach this end of the road
merrily, humbly watching and waiting
for thine receipt to the new home
as though com-est
in my resting place I beseech
shed no tears, have no fears
I'll be your angel guiding, watching from above
alone I ride to the lofty heights abroad
time slips through my hands I see
yet you'll never say good-bye
